The Enforcer

This is my new job: The Enforcer.
I have made it clear to the hubs that he and I will be exercising at least 3 times a week, 45 minutes each. On top of that, there will be NO more fast food in the house. I am NOT going to lose my husband to some sort of coronary episode because of Wendy's and laziness. No. Way.
I am slowly getting back into the exercise routine. There are many motivators. One is the show (The Secret Garden Sept 10-13 - you DON'T want to miss it!!) I get to play this gorgeous ghostly woman, and I don't want to do it looking like a blimp. 'nuff said. Another is pregnancy. I want to be really into a good routine before we get pregnant again, so it isn't so hard later. Let's face it, if I'm not already doing it, exercise will not BEGIN once I am preggers. Hey, I'm just being honest.
So, I am eating at the top of my caloric range (per thedailyplate.com) with the help of protein shakes, and now I am exercising. I am keeping the carbs under 100 grms daily and the protein over 100 grms daily. Yes, I am still in the f@*&ing 220's. Fuck my life.
Applied for and had an interview for a position at a Suzuki school as an early childhood educator. It's a music position that deals with kids ages 6 months to 4 years. I was (am?) excited about the job, and I really felt the interview went well. They said they had to let people know right away, becuase they wanted the newbie to start training next week. Well, I didn't get a call. I am, of course, making the assumption I did not get the job. I contact a friend for some info and to do some digging for me (she had the job previously) but she knows less then I do, which is sad. So, I don't know for sure... but I am feeling less hopeful. It sucks, because you think you are moving on, and expanding your "job" into a "career"... but things don't always happen the way you think or hope they will. I know speculating on it now is silly, since I have no control over the situation at this point. I also had an audition as a conductor for a choral organization here in my area. I don't think it went well. Meh. What can I do?
Anyway, that's the update... for now.
